Psychometrist Job Description

Location: Hybrid (In-office + Remote)
Compensation: $25/hour | ~5 hours per week
Supervisor: Dr. Brooke Bluestein, Licensed Clinical Psychologist
Status: Independent Contractor

About the Role

The psychometrist plays a vital role in the flow and quality of our assessment services. You’ll follow clients through their assessment journey—from intake to report completion—ensuring that data is collected, testing is completed, and the final product is cohesive, accurate, and delivered in a timely manner. This role supports both new and in-progress assessments, helping to ensure that no client or detail falls through the cracks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assessment Administration: Administer standardized psychological, cognitive, and neurodevelopmental tests (virtually or in person) under supervision.

  • Scoring & Documentation: Accurately score and compile test data, contributing structured inputs to psychological reports.

  • Client Coordination: Ensure clients complete paperwork, attend appointments, and submit needed measures.

  • Report Preparation: Organize data for report drafting; assist in completing pending reports.

  • Team Communication: Maintain ongoing communication with your supervisor and the assessment team regarding progress and needs.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a doctoral program in Clinical Psychology (PhD or PsyD)

  • Prior coursework and clinical experience in psychological assessment required

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

  • Warm, professional presence with clients; trauma-informed and inclusive care mindset

  • Self-directed with a collaborative spirit

Supervision & Training

This role is supervised by Dr. Brooke Bluestein, a licensed psychologist and neurodiversity-affirming assessment specialist. You’ll receive regular supervision and support, with an emphasis on ethical, accurate, and affirming care.

Commitment & Compensation

  • ~5 hours/week, flexible schedule

  • $25/hour (independent contractor)

  • Initial 6-month commitment, with potential for extension based on fit and capacity
